How to crochet a Wild yellow Daisy

The flower of the sun that you meet walking along the country roads but also in the coastal areas where it creates wonderful color contrasts. The wild yellow Daisy with its bright and bright yellow has a simple but elegant appearance and like all other wild flowers it is a precious gift of mother nature.

To make this crochet flower you need to prepare: flowers, buds, chalices, leaves and their stems.

Explanation of the flower.

With the cotton of a darker yellow of the petals you prepare what would be the pistil making a central section.

Start 2 little chains and in the first make 7 single crochet in total.

1 revolution: 14 single crochet.

2 and 3 rounds: 28 single crochet.

Change color of the cotton to make the petals.

4 rounds: 15 little chains and in these to do: count 4 chains backwards and in the fifth make a triple crochet, continue and make 7 double triple crochet, a triple crochet, a double crochet, a half double crochet, a slip stitch . At the next low point work another equal petal for a total of 14 petals.

If petals are to be starched, much depends on the type of cotton that is used.

Explanation of the bud.

Start 4 little chains and in the first step: 13 double crochet (total 14).

1 round: 14 double crochet.

2 rounds: 12 little chains and counting backwards 4 little chains from the fifth round: 6 triple crochet, a double crochet, a half double crochet, a slip stitch. A slip stitch and redo the same for a total of 7 petals.

Also with the bud if it is necessary to starch the petals.

Explanation of the flower goblet.

Start 4 little chains and in the first make 9 double crochet (total 10).

1-2 lap: 20 double crochet.

3 lap: a single crochet, 4 little chains and in these to do: a single crochet, 2 half double crochet. A single crochet in the next point. Repeat the same for a total of 10 times.

Close the work by keeping the cotton a little longer.

Explanation of the cup of bud.

Start 4 little chains and make 13 double crochet in the first row (total 14).

1 round: 14 double crochet.

2 rounds: a single crochet, 4 little chains and in these to do: a single crochet and 2 half double crochet. A single crochet in the next point.

Repeat equal a total of 7 times. Close the work and keep the cotton a little long.

Explanation of the leaf.

For the leaves that are a bit 'more fleshy petals I used the number 10 cotton for everything else is always the number 20.

Start 20 little chains.

1 round: 5 single crochet, 5 half double crochet, 5 double crochet, 3 triple crochet, in a single point (the one at the top of the leaf) make 7 triple crochet. On the other side of the chains repeat exactly the opposite: 3 triple crochet, 5 double crochet, 5 half double crochet and 5 single crochet.

2 turn: cut a piece of galvanized iron wire that makes the complete turn of the leaf plus another 2 cm each side and insert it to the leaf by working around the single crochet as follows: 3 single crochet, in a point make: a single crochet, 2 little chains and a single crochet in the first chain, a single crochet. Then make a single crochet at the next point and repeat the same for the whole turn of the leaf. The last 3 points will be 3 single crochet.

Tighten the leaf well and twist on itself 2-3 times the wire to stop the work, make 2-3 little chains around this small stem and close the work.

Now that we have prepared everything we need we can assemble our yellow daisy and start with the flower. Cut a piece of plasticized iron wire the length needed to create the stem. On a point wrap several times a bit of cotton wool or cotton wool and helping with a pincer we bend it twice by blocking the wadding. Insert the stem inside the flower goblet. We place the flower over the top, making the edge of the pistil coincide with the edge of the glass and from under it we sew it.

For the bud we take the galvanized wire and cut about 20-25 cm. We insert the 2 points of the wire in the first round of high points of the bud, we make them come out from the bottom and twist on itself the wire to form the stem of the bud, except for 2 cm on each side that will serve to tie it to the stem main. We insert the bud with its stem in the glass and sew it to it.

Cover the stem of the bud with cotton by working around the chains once on the right, once on the left, once above, once under the stem. Fasten the buds and leaves to the main stem and then cover this with cotton, working around the chains.

Insert the yellow daisies in the center of the vase and, if necessary, to add more leaves to the whole collection.

As always, I hope I have explained everything at best and have given you an idea for your creations. Hello everyone, see you next time.
