How to crochet a Rose

For centuries, symbol of love, beauty and perfection, is the flower par excellence. The meaning of the rose varies according to the color of its petals and their number. Perhaps the best known and gifted flower in the world. I could not recreate this crocheted flower. Are you ready to make a bunch of roses?

Use all the colors your fantasy suggests. The flower is made up of various petals that I will explain to you now. It only seems to be difficult at first until you start making the first one. I assure you that it is more difficult to explain than to do.

Needs: cotton number 20 - crochet 1.0 mm - scissors - needle - 0.45mm galvanized iron wire - plasticized iron wire - pliers.

There are 3 5-stroke petals, 3 4-stroke petals, 3 3-stroke petals, and 2 2-stroke petals. Girls is the simplest way I've found to let you know how to make the various sizes of petals.
Let's start from the biggest one that has the longest explanation.

Explanation of the 5-stroke petal:

Start 4 chains and in the first one, 7 double crochet.
Turn the work
1 lap: 2 double crochet, 1 triple crochet, in the 2 center points make 3 triple crochet each, 1 triple crochet 2 double crochet.
Turn the work.
2 lap: 2 double crochet, 3 triple crochet, 3 triple crochet in each of the 2 central points, 3 triple crochet, 2 double crochet.
Turn the work.
3 lap: 2 double crochet, 5 triple crochet, 3 triple crochet in each of the 2 central points, 5 triple crochet, 2 double crochet.
Turn the work.
4 laps: 2 double crochet, 7 triple crochet, 3 triple crochet in each of the 2 central points, 7 triple crochet, 2 double crochet.
Turn the work.
5 rounds: 2 double crochet, 9 triple crochet, 3 triple crochet in each of the 2 central points, 9 triple crochet, 2 double crochet.
Turn the work.

Now go down with some slip stitch to the first start chain. Cut the galvanized iron wire (the length of the petal more or less so that it can be twisted on it as a closure), place it on the petal and, to insert it, work around the single crochet. With your hands work well to give it the right shape of petal and then close both iron wire and cotton. Of these petals make 3 in total. The 4-stroke petal is the same as 5 logically less a lap. So also the one of 3 laps and that of 2. I hope I have been fairly clear in the explanation. When you have all the petals you make the rose. Begin sewing at the base 2 2-rev. Petals (2-3 well-set points). Arrange the other 2 2-stroke petals in the opposite direction to the others and always sew them to the base. Then go to those 3 laps and so on until all of them (obviously positioned right). Now you should have a rose in your hands. Of course, if you like it fuller (with more petals) do 3 more pet petals and see how it comes, it also depends on the type of cotton you use.
Explanation of the chalice:

Start 6 chains and close in round.
1 lap: 15 double crochet.
2 laps: 25 double crochet.
3 laps: 25 double crochet.
4 laps: 12 chains and in these make: 3 single crochet, 3 high mid jerseys, 2 high points, 3 half double crochet, skip 4 base points and make 1 slip stitch in the next spot.
Repeat equal to a total of 5 tips.

Leaf Explanation:

The leaves are a group of 3 leaves joined by the galvanized iron wire, so cut it by the length of 3 leaves more than 2 cm, which will serve to create a small stem that connects it to the main stem.
Start 30 chains
1 lap: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 double crochet, 11 triple crochet, 3 double crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 single crochet.
Repeat the same on the other side.
2 lap: equal to the first with 3 increases in triple crochet.

Now insert the iron wire around the single crochet. Without cutting the thread, make another leaf the same as the one before, then drop off with slip stitch to the leaf attachment and make the dots around the iron wire. Do the third leaf as well. Now twist the iron wire about 2 cm and work over the chains to cover the small stem that will serve to attach the leaves to the main stem. Now cut the length you need the plastic wire thread that will be the stem of the rose, the longer you will make more leaves you will have to join for the length of my rose I used 3 sets of leaves. The stem that ends up inside the jar does not need leaves, so it also depends on the destination you give to your roses (that is, if you only have to give us more leaves). Now assemble the rose. You must first bend the tip of the stem as if to form a small knot (help with pliers). Insert the stem in the middle of the rose, (then close the small petals again) insert the cup and sew it around the rose. Attach the leaves at the right distance and then, starting from the goblet, work all around the stem the chains to cover it with cotton.
Now you just have to smell their perfume. What do you say do not look true to you too?
At the next creation hello everyone.

This is one of my first translations I realize. I hope they are clear. Let me know in the comments.
